A Test

Which is better?

1. Serve in combat in Vietnam, come home decide that the war was wrong, toss the symbols of your involvement in the war away and become an antiwar activist. And maybe have an fling with an intern.

Or

2. Use your father’s influence to become a pilot in the Texas National Guard, waste taxpayers money by going through pilot training but not report for your flight physical and get grounded. Transfer to a guard unit in another state, but apparently not show up for all your drills, but get paid anyway. Be responsible for the needless deaths of thousands by becoming “A War President” that took the nation to war “on the wings of a lie,” and then show up in a flight suit on an aircraft carrier and lie about a “mission accomplished.”

It’s a difficult choice.
