Hospital Ships Not Being Used in Iraq

Does anybody know why Bush has sent the Navy’s 1,000 bed hospital ship, USNS Comfort to visit Honduras and other Central American countries instead of treating victims of the violence in Iraq?

The USNS Mercy completed a similar humanitarian deployment in the Pacific in 2006.
