Google and the Baptists

What’s the difference between the Baptists who kidnapped the “orphans” in Haiti and Google that unlawfully scanned millions of “orphan” books?

The Baptists said they were doing good for the orphans.

Google said it was doing good for the orphans.

It turned out that some of the “orphans” in Haiti weren’t really orphans.

It turned out that millions of the books that Google scanned weren’t really orphans.

The Baptists went to court in Haiti and their attorney apparently tried to bribe the court.

Google went to court in the United States and apparently tried to use the court system to bind their victims and people who they had not yet victimized into a court ordered business arrangement that totally benefits Google.  Not exactly a bribe, but still an abuse of the justice system.

That’s how Google and the kidnappers are alike.
